In the last issue, we contemplated the view of the Divine Service that the letter to the Hebrews gives us. The inspired author tells Christians that they are involved in something unseen, a great mystery whenever we are gathered here around Christ. The Lord has said as much: “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (St. Matthew 18.20). There is an unseen, hidden reality behind what is happening in the Divine Service.
